Impart launches harness where AI agents write and test virtual patches

Impart Security has launched the Runtime Defence Harness, a controlled environment in which AI agents build virtual patches for new vulnerabilities, tested against the customer's own traffic. An engineer approves each patch, and Impart's engine enforces it as deterministic code, so AI is not placed in the live traffic path. Impart says a tested virtual patch can be ready within 60 minutes.

What to do

  1. Review whether virtual patching from a runtime defence vendor fits your environment as a stopgap while fixes are pending.
