European Commission seeks feedback on guidelines for EU online ad repositories
The European Commission has opened a call for evidence on upcoming technical guidelines for advertising repositories under the Digital Services Act. The guidelines will cover searchability, targeting insights and accessibility of ad content, with a public consultation planned for 2027 and publication planned for Q2 2028.
NIS2 puts boards on the hook for access control and asks for proof it works
Under NIS2 Article 20, management bodies of essential and important entities must approve cybersecurity risk-management measures, oversee their implementation and can be held liable for infringements under national law. Boards are asking for evidence of access controls, including exceptions such as stale accounts, excessive privileges, unreviewed MFA exemptions and supplier access that outlasts contracts. The European Commission has referred Ireland, Spain, France and the Netherlands to the Court for failing to fully transpose NIS2.
