NYT and other publishers sue Brave over paywall bypass and sales of news content to AI firms

The New York Times◼ and other publishers have filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York against Brave Software. They allege Brave bypasses paywalls and supplies copied news content to AI firms, which use it to train models and answer user queries, and claim Brave has made over $100 million from it, citing third-party estimates.
