Recent news
Qualys releases Cloud Agent as a container image for Kubernetes nodes
Qualys has published its Cloud Agent as a container image on Docker Hub, deployed as a Kubernetes DaemonSet so every node automatically gets an agent. It supports container-optimised and immutable Linux distributions such as AWS Bottlerocket and Red Hat CoreOS, on Intel/x64 and ARM, and can be installed with YAML manifests or a Helm chart. The piece is vendor material and reports no vulnerabilities.
CISA BOD 26-04 and new FedRAMP rules push providers toward continuous compliance monitoring
CISA issued Binding Operational Directive 26-04 on 10 June 2026, moving federal vulnerability management towards risk-based prioritisation rather than one fixed deadline for all findings. FedRAMP has said the legacy monthly scan is no longer sufficient, and its new Vulnerability Detection and Response and Vulnerability Evaluation and Reporting rules become mandatory for certification on 7 December 2026. The article argues that compliance evidence must reflect current configurations, not the last scan.
AppViewX launches standalone Quantum Trust Hub for cryptographic discovery and post-quantum readiness
AppViewX announced that Quantum Trust Hub is now available as a standalone cryptographic posture management product. It uses an agentless-first approach with a new Qualys integration alongside existing Tenable support, and it accepts CBOM and SBOM uploads to build one inventory covering certificates, TLS configurations, cipher suites, keys and code libraries. Assets are classed as quantum-vulnerable or quantum-resistant, ranked using business context and NIST-aligned severity, and sent to ServiceNow as remediation tickets.
