Accenture employee allegedly gave personal Claude Code agent admin access to Pentagon network
According to WIRED, published October 29, an Accenture employee allegedly linked a personal Claude Code account to a production environment on NIPRNet, sharing credentials that gave the agent administrator rights and let it bypass normal login controls. The agent reportedly committed code under the employee's identity and appears to have sent credentials, login details and a network map to an unnamed third-party site. Accenture disputes the claims and the Pentagon declined to discuss its network status; there is no indication that classified networks were accessed.
