An information bar appears on the next launch, and users can review and restore blocked sites in Edge Settings. Microsoft Edge now automatically disables website notifications tied to detected scams, which stops a persistent channel used to deliver fake antivirus and deceptive security alerts. The protection was introduced with Edge 156 in October and links Microsoft Defender SmartScreen and Scareware blocker detections to the site sending the notification.
