RedTeamDaily Breach Alert
A free browser extension that tells you when the site you’re on was in recent data breach news, with what to do and a link to the story.
Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store (also works in Microsoft Edge) and Firefox Add-ons.
How it works
- Every few hours the extension downloads one public list from us: company domains that were in breach news in the last 30 days. Everyone downloads the same list.
- It checks the site you’re on against that list on your computer. Nothing about the sites you visit is ever sent to us or anyone else.
- On a match the icon turns red. Open it to read, for example, “In the news: Example Bank reported a data breach on 2 November 2026”, the steps to take, and a link to our story with its sources.
What it says, and what it doesn’t
It states facts from the news: a company “reported a data breach” or “was named in breach reports”. It never calls a site “hacked” or “unsafe”, and it only warns about a company’s official domains we have checked. The list is signed, so the extension ignores any list that didn’t come from us.
Settings
