API terms of use
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms cover the RedTeamDaily public API at https://api.redteamdaily.com/public/v1. By creating a key you accept them for your organisation. Our terms of use and privacy notice also apply.
1. What you get
Our own headlines, summaries, categories, severity ratings and CVE data, and links to the original articles. We never provide publishers’ article text or titles, and you must not use the API to try to get them.
2. Attribution
Where you show our content, say it comes from RedTeamDaily and link to the story’s url. Don’t present our summaries as your own, and don’t suggest we endorse your product.
3. How you may use it
- In your own products, internal tools, alerts and research, within your plan’s limits.
- Not to rebuild a news service that substitutes for RedTeamDaily by republishing our summaries in bulk.
- Not to resell or sublicense raw API access.
- Not to train AI models on our summaries without our written agreement.
- Not to get around rate limits, for example with many keys or organisations.
4. Keys
Keep your keys secret and on your servers. You are responsible for what is done with them. If a key leaks, rotate it straight away from your API keys page. We may revoke a key that is leaked or misused.
5. Plans and payment
The Developer plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by Stripe, in pounds sterling, before any VAT. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid month. We give at least 30 days’ notice of a price rise.
6. Accuracy and availability
Security news changes fast. Summaries are written by AI from several sources and may contain mistakes; always check the original sources before acting. We aim for the API to be available all the time but don’t guarantee it, and we may change or retire endpoints with reasonable notice.
7. Liability
The API is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the API’s data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending
You can stop using the API and delete your keys at any time. We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, and will tell you why.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
